Vision
The vision of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is to build a body of believers who through a firm grasp of the Word of God and insight into the vision and burden of our Lord, penetrate and saturate our city with the Good News, while attaining spiritual health and growth, not only in one mother church, but in several works through the local region until Christ returns.

Mission

The mission of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is to fulfill the great commission of Christ based upon the great commandments, loving God and loving our neighbor, as we preach the Good News with purpose and practicality to all who come.

Father
We believe that there is one God. We believe God manifested himself as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

  • Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.

  • Isaiah 43:10-11 – Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Son
We believe that Jesus is the Son: God manifested in the flesh.

  • Isaiah 9:6 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

  • John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  • John 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

  • Colossians 2:9 – For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

  • I Timothy 3:16 – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

  • Hebrews 10:5 – Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Holy Ghost

We believe that Jesus is the Holy Ghost.

  • John 7:38-39 – He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

  • John 14:16-18 – And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Baptism

We believe what Jesus taught and the disciples obeyed: Baptism in Jesus’ name.

  • Matthew 28:19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

  • Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  • Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

  • Acts 8:16 – (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

  • Acts 19:5 – When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Being Filled with the Holy Ghost

We believe to be born again one must be born of water (baptized) and of the Spirit (Holy Ghost filled).

  • John 3:3 – Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

  • John 3:5 – Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

  • John 7:38-39 – He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

  • Matthew 3:11 – I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier that I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.

  • Acts 1:5 – For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

  • Acts 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  • Acts 2:4 – And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  • Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  • Acts 8:15-17 – Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

  • Acts 19:6 – And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

  • Joel 2:28-29 – And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams; your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

  • Isaiah 28:11-12 – For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Choirs
REJOICE in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. Psalm 33:1-3

At Apostolic, you are sure to find a choir that you will enjoy singing unto the Lord. The Sanctuary Choir is comprised of youth (teens), men and women. The Pastor's Choir is made up of Men and Women ages 35 and up. The Youth Choir is composed of girls and boys up to age 18. If you can make a joyful noise, you will fit in just fine.

Christian Education
Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn; and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: Deuteronomy 31:12

Our Christian Education Department is an institution of higher learning. Our mission is to effectively teach the word of God, win souls to Christ, create an exciting atmosphere, and support the vision of the pastor. Marriage Ministry
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband; and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. I Corinthians 7:3-4

Our Marriage Ministry activities are called: Marriage Retreat (MR) & Marriage Refreshment Seminars (MRS). Whether you have been married for months, 1 year, or 30 years or more, every marriage can use a retreat or refreshing. The Marriage Ministry shows the married how to be not just married, but happily married through the Word of God. Come join us as we perform MR & MRS through the Word of God learning how wives ought to be wives, how they are to respect their husbands and how husbands are to love their wives. MR & MRS holds an annual marriage enhancement seminar and Marriage Bible Classes. Attending a MR & MRS does not mean your marriage is in trouble, you only want it enriched. Though we two are one flesh, it takes two to make the marriage work happily.

Men's Ministry
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. I Corinthians 13:11

Every man who joins or is born into the Apostolic Church Family automatically becomes a part of the Men's Ministry. The goal of the Men's Ministry is to maintain a personal relationship with God, share the Good News with the unsaved, and be good husbands and fathers by following God's principles for the family. The men edify each other while giving glory to the name of Jesus. They are also role models for other young men that do not have fathers.

Mother Board
Let not a widow be taken into the number under three-score years old, having been the wife of one man, well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. I Timothy 9-10

The Mother Board is hand-picked by the Pastor. The women are 60 and above. They are responsible for preparing the Communion and foot washing services, calling absent and sick members of the Church and giving a report to the Pastor. They give comfort and encouragement to all the saints. Their main duty is to be a prayer warrior, praying first for the pastor and the many battles of the Church.

Nurses Guild
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward Matthew 10:42

Our professionals, nurses, and nurses' aids are on duty to serve. They serve the ministry as well as anyone who may need special care. They will cheerfully do anything from giving a glass of water or juice to applying a Band-Aid to a crying child.

Singles' Ministry
But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: I Corinthians 7:32

The singles are a group of women and men who live a life alone because of divorce, death of a spouse or never been married. The singles desire to serve God and be single; some are simply waiting for God to bless them with mates as they serve Him. Singles are unique in that they are blessed to have a special Sunday School class covering biblical topics and everyday social issues. Once a year, the singles have a celebration to celebrate their saved single life.

Usher Board
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of the wickedness. Psalm 84:10

The Usher Board will make sure you are comfortable in the sanctuary. They will cheerfully help you find a seat, direct you to the necessity room, or provide you with a fan with a cheerful smile.

Women's Ministry
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10

Every woman who joins or is born into the Apostolic Church Family automatically becomes a part of the Women's Ministry. The goal of the Women's Ministry is to foster fellowship with each other, while ministering to each other's needs.

We strive to be virtuous women while helping to teach young women to be Women of God.

Youth Ministry
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

It is said it takes a village to raise a child. We believe it takes a Church to bring up our children and we are dedicated to the righteous upbringing of our children. We provide Bible training, trips, fundraisers, and special youth programs, activities and revivals.
